Managing in Diverse Cultures

MDCU
(M.A. Global Business Development)

Course Syllabus

Managing People demands some psychology knowledge to come into practice, even more so when the context of history drives the others’ surprising behavior. This course works in cooperation with a class at OTH Regensburg, and it focusses on pivotal management situations as well as on your capacity to reflect and learn.

Additionally, you will be part of a study on a novel collaboration environment, which reflects our distance learning concept. This 2D virtual reality environment requires you to work with a recent computer and good internet connection.

Be prepared for interactive sessions, team discussions, and a huge lot of reflection work.

Organizational

The course is one of two in the module “Leadership and Culture” and values 3 ECTS credit points, which represents a workload of 90 hours. As a guideline, workload could be split to synchronous time in classes (20h), asynchronous time for preparation and reinforcement (50h) and final preparations (20h).

Course material and lecture slides will be available via Moodle. The Moodle key will be communicated in the first online session.
